Now that most of the workforce is at home, COVID19 has introduced some interesting first world problems. Here are some examples.
“Since this whole thing started, my back is sore from lying in bed and watching too much TV. Now I sit in my chair. And you know, there is only so much TV you can watch, so now I started reading! I haven’t read a book in years” they laughed. When I told someone that they said, “Yea, I am getting bored of watching movies. There are only so many movies that I like, and I think I have seen them all.” Well, since Hollywood North, Hollywood (South) and every other place on the planet that produces content for film has been shut down since mid-March I wonder what new first world problems there will be in a few months.
I am not commuting to work, or to my parents and thereby not reading as much as before. I have tried to change that but my success rate is fairly low. Part of this is the fact that I recently read a not-so-great book and I lost my groove. Instead of reading, I am watching everyone’s share of informative TV and trying to make the best of a crummy situation. Yesterday I went through all of my books and sorted them into categories. There are some really exciting non-fictions books waiting to be read, so you never know!
With things changing all the time, I got a bit freaked out and stocked up on some alcohol. This would have made sense, yet with things changing all the time, I am drinking far less then one would think. I am still trying to work that out. But hey, now that I am stocked up, I won’t have to stand in line outside or inside the LCBO or wonder what the staff thinks.
Every time I go out, I visit the Ladies room because all public washrooms are locked.
Since I only have one surgical mask and I am trying to make it last, I have stopped wearing makeup. I know.
My latest post from A. Rebel’s Rant, is called, Has COVID19 Changed Your Life? and my latest first world problem is that I cannot seem to add the link to it.
